SocialBoard vs Dewey: new finds or an existing saved library?
Dewey focuses on syncing, searching and exporting social bookmarks, including an existing Instagram saved library. SocialBoard is free and ad-free for the links and media you choose to add to searchable, shareable collections. It does not bulk-import your old saved folders.

Are you importing or collecting?
- Need the existing library synced or exported? Evaluate Dewey first.
- Need a small mixed-source collection to use with friends? Try SocialBoard.
- Test five representative items before committing to a migration.
Start with the backlog question
Dewey’s Instagram page advertises syncing saved posts, searching captions, organizing by folders and tags, and backing up saved content. Its main site also describes exports and collections shared through public URLs.
That is relevant when the problem is hundreds of existing bookmarks. SocialBoard’s share-or-paste workflow starts with individual finds you select; it is not a replacement for a bulk-import or archive workflow.

The practical differences
Choose using the task you want to finish. These are official product descriptions, not a hands-on performance test.
| Decision | SocialBoard | Dewey |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Links and media you deliberately add | Existing connected social bookmark libraries |
| Useful outcome | A focused collection for a plan or interest | Sync, organization, backup and export of a backlog |
| Sharing | Invite people to a SocialBoard collection | Advertises collections shared by public URL |
SocialBoard: pros and cons
SocialBoard brings different sources into one collection. Here are the benefits and limits relevant to this choice.
Pros
- Free, ad-free collections that combine selected social links, websites and your media.
- Separate collections keep an active plan apart from a large old backlog.
Cons
- Existing saved folders are not bulk-imported into SocialBoard.
- Source posts can become private or disappear; a saved link is not an archive.
Separate moving everything from keeping the useful five
Suppose you have 800 Instagram saves but only five ideas for next weekend. If preserving all 800 is the job, evaluate Dewey’s current source support, permissions and import requirements. If the job is choosing five places with a friend, add those five links to a SocialBoard collection and work from that shortlist.
Before moving a whole library, check the import result, export format and access requirements on a small sample. Neither a saved URL nor a backup marketing claim should substitute for checking that the material you need is actually available.
