Make something of your saves

Import old saved posts or start a fresh collection?

Importing a whole saved library and collecting the few finds you want to use are different tasks. SocialBoard is free and ad-free for selected links and media you add to collections; it does not bulk-import existing Instagram or TikTok saved folders. Choose the task before moving anything.

Different places. One collection.
The short version

Try the five-item test

  1. Name the immediate job: preserve the archive or finish a current plan.
  2. For a current plan, select five useful links rather than every old save.
  3. Add them to one SocialBoard collection and retrieve one later.
  4. For a full migration, verify the import requirements and result separately.

First decide what must survive the move

If every saved post matters, you need an import or archive workflow with verified source support. Check what moves: just URLs, captions, media, original folder names or some combination. A product saying it supports a platform is not enough to establish that your entire old library will transfer.

Dewey advertises syncing and organizing existing Instagram saves. That makes it a candidate to investigate for the backlog job, rather than treating SocialBoard’s individual share-or-paste workflow as a bulk migration tool.

Keep the active plan small

If the real goal is this weekend’s dinner or next month’s trip, choose five links you still want to use. Put them in a collection named for that plan. You can add a restaurant website or your own photo even when the original ideas came from different social apps.

Do not rebuild years of folders before discovering whether the new habit helps. Save the next relevant find into the collection, then test whether you can retrieve the one you need.

Choose the right starting approach

Use the material you actually need to decide how much migration work is justified.

Pros and cons of starting selectively

A small collection is a way to begin using the finds, not a claim that the rest of the library is unimportant.

Pros

  • You get a useful collection before doing a full reorganization.
  • SocialBoard is free and ad-free, with mixed sources, multiple collections, search and sharing.

Cons

  • Selective saving does not preserve or migrate the full old library.
  • Saved links can stop opening if their sources are removed or made private.
