1. Who handles your information

Contact SocialBoard at support@socialboard.app. The service is provided under the SocialBoard name, based in United States.

2. Information we handle

  • Account and profile: email address, account identifier, password verification information, profile name, avatar and preferences.
  • Saved content: links, source URLs, uploaded photos, videos, screenshots, notes, titles, tags and feed memberships; source text, captions, metadata and media captured for saves.
  • Sharing and interactions: invitations, membership roles, access settings, likes, comments and notification activity where those features are available.
  • Device and service information: IP addresses, request timestamps, app and operating-system versions, session identifiers, notification installation identifiers and push tokens, error records and security events.
  • Support and reports: messages, attachments, diagnostic reports you choose to send, copyright notices and identity-verification information needed to handle requests.

Saved material can contain information about other people. Only submit it when you have a lawful basis to do so. Selective media access and sharing permissions are controlled through your device and app settings.

3. Why we use it

We use information to create and secure accounts, store and synchronize saves, capture source information, convert media and create previews, make content searchable, manage feeds and sharing, send requested service notifications, troubleshoot failures, handle requests and complaints, and prevent abuse or comply with law.

Source capture can contact third-party websites. Those sites receive the network and request information associated with the fetch. Opening a source or using an external share destination is also subject to that service’s practices.

3a. App usage analytics and your controls

SocialBoard uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand feature use and improve the app. Starting with Android build 10039, usage analytics is on by default, with an in-app notice and no separate opt-in needed. In Android build 10040 and later, you can turn it off under Profile → Help & support → Usage analytics, or in the Help menu before sign-in. The notice is informational and has no analytics off control. Earlier builds provide the control in Privacy & safety and may also offer it on the notice. Your choice is saved on this device and previous explicit opt-outs are preserved. Older builds may require opt-in. Turning analytics off does not prevent using the app or receiving separately enabled push notifications.

While analytics is enabled, Google receives app visits, return visits, session and engagement information, searches without the search words, saves, opening saved items, sharing outcomes reported by your phone, and feed collaboration actions. It also receives analytics installation identifiers, a pseudonymous account identifier when signed in, and app/device details. Google may infer coarse location from network information. We do not send saved content, saved links, text, titles, captions, tags, search words, media, filenames, your email or name, passwords, or invitation tokens to usage analytics.

This feature does not enable advertising identifiers, advertising personalization, cross-app advertising tracking or session recording. Data is transmitted using encrypted transport. Analytics event retention is configured to 2 months and user-data retention to 14 months; user retention can restart on new activity. Aggregated reports can remain longer.

Turning analytics off stops future collection and resets analytics stored on this device. It does not delete measurements already received by Google or erase aggregate reports. Account deletion and analytics opt-out are different actions. Contact privacy@socialboard.app for analytics access or deletion requests. We verify requests and use the available provider deletion process for identifiable records; we explain when anonymous or aggregated records cannot be associated with your request. We do not automatically erase all remote analytics when you opt out or request account deletion.

4. Automated processing and AI

Automated processing can extract text and metadata, create thumbnails or video posters, and suggest titles, descriptions, categories or tags. Suggestions can be wrong and do not establish ownership, identity, consent or the accuracy of a source.

When third-party AI enrichment is enabled, relevant source text and metadata, your supplied notes and sampled images, page screenshots or video posters can be transmitted to AI routing and model providers to interpret a save. The providers for this release are: OpenRouter, Google Gemini. Processing may occur outside your country. Provider retention and permitted uses depend on the applicable service contracts and settings; we do not promise zero retention or a universal no-training rule without those protections.

The app asks for affirmative permission for this processing before new uploads or sharing. You can decline by signing out or request deletion instead. Contact us about processing, corrections or deletion.

5. Who receives information

  • Infrastructure: Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare for hosting, storage, delivery and security. Authorized processing workers can receive the content needed for assigned jobs.
  • Account email and support: Resend, Cloudflare Email Routing, Google Gmail deliver sign-in and account messages and handle support correspondence. Privacy requests: privacy@socialboard.app; deletion requests: delete@socialboard.app.
  • Notifications: Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push delivery where enabled. Notification previews can appear on a device’s lock screen; use OS notification settings to control visibility.
  • AI providers: the providers and inputs described above, when enabled.
  • People you share with: recipients can access information allowed by feed settings and their permissions. Invitation links may expose limited inviter identity and feed names. Recipients may keep copies outside our control.
  • Service administration: the operator and authorized service providers may access limited information for support, processing, security, abuse handling and legal compliance.
  • Legal and business matters: information necessary to respond to valid legal process, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards.

We do not sell personal information or use saved content for targeted advertising in the release covered by this policy. Advertising is not enabled for this release; practices and required choices must be updated before adding advertising or tracking.

6. Security and international processing

We use access controls, authenticated sessions and protected transport to reduce unauthorized access. Information may be stored or processed in countries where our operator or service providers work. Applicable international-transfer safeguards must be used where required. No service can guarantee absolute security. Review feed access before sharing; an authorized recipient can copy material even after access is revoked.

7. Retention and deletion

Account information and saved content are retained while needed to provide your account and requested features, unless you delete them or retention is required for a specific legal or security reason. Item deletion removes content from normal account access first; original media, previews and processing copies are removed through background cleanup. Cleanup can take longer during failures or while uploads are in flight.

After a verified account-deletion request, we remove the account and associated data from active systems and ask service providers to delete applicable data. We aim to complete requests within 30 days, subject to applicable legal deadlines and any identity checks or lawful exceptions we explain.

Automatic diagnostics are retained for up to 14 days. Service access logs use a rolling size-limited buffer (up to 30 MiB per application container) and are removed as that buffer rotates; their lifetime depends on traffic volume. Restricted local backup copies follow a rolling retention schedule of 30 days, with daily expiration checks. Records needed for unresolved disputes, fraud prevention or legal obligations may be retained longer only for those purposes. Backups are restricted and deletion must be reapplied if a backup is restored. Copies independently retained by other users or source platforms are outside our control.

See Delete Your Account for the request pathway, including partial-data requests.

8. Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete saves using available app controls, manage sharing permissions, and control notifications and media permissions through device settings. Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, portability, appeal a refusal or complain to your local privacy regulator. We verify requests proportionately and do not require passwords or verification codes by email.

Where applicable, processing relies on providing the requested service, legitimate interests such as security and support, legal obligations, or consent for processing that requires it. Withdrawal does not undo processing already lawfully performed. Our handling of your request remains subject to applicable law.

9. Website storage

The website stores your light/dark theme choice locally in your browser. The current website does not load analytics or advertising trackers. Hosting services receive normal network requests and security information. Clear site storage in your browser to remove the theme preference.

10. Age requirements

SocialBoard is not directed to children under 13. The minimum age for this service is 13, or a higher minimum where local law requires it. If you believe we hold information from a child who does not meet the applicable age requirement, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Where consent or guardian involvement is required, those requirements apply.

11. Changes and contact

We update this policy when practices change, publish the revised date here, and provide additional notice or obtain permission where required. Contact us using Support & Contact.
